Quote of the Day

It's been awhile since I've posted a quote of the day. It's not that there haven't been any clever or pithy comments by our kids, it's just that there have been so many great quotes, it's impossible to record them all. So, when a great one comes along, I am compelled to include it here. Here goes...

I'm changing Anna Kate's NASTY dirty diaper (yes, I do that from time to time) and Jake is watching me.

As I'm changing this diaper, I ask Jake, "Hey buddy, do you want to help me wipe Anna Kate's bottom?"

He says, "No thanks daddy, I like to wipe my own bottom."

CLASSIC!!!

This Guy is Hilarious!

I don't know if you've ever heard of Tim Hawkins but I am just now discovering him. This guys is hilarious!!! Check out this video and you can google him for some more entertainment. (In case you're wondering, that's not his "normal voice" it's one of his "funny voices" for his act...I was worried about that for a second).

What's On?

OK, I have to admit that I'm not a huge TV junkie. In fact, with a wife, three kids, a dog, a cat and a fish, I don't have much time to remember that we have a TV. Oh yeah, I work a full week too (yes, pastors work more than Sunday and Wednesday).

There are, however, a couple of shows that Stephanie and I really enjoy. Our all-time favorite show is CBS's "The Unit." LOVE this show. It's actually one of the only pro-military dramas I've seen on TV. But, I hear that "The Unit" is possibly biting the dust soon. That stinks.

So, what are your favorite TV shows? Is there anything on TV that's worth watching these days?

Here's a list of our favorites:
1. Anything sports
2. The Unit
3. Life
4. Lie to Me
5. That's right, really only three shows

Show Me The Money

Our Federal Budget this year is a proposed 3.6 trillion dollars. Now, that's a lot of money. A million is a lot, a billion is even more, but a trillion is a thousand billion. To put this into perspective, check out this site.

Now that's pretty remarkable. A HUGE sum of money. And guess what, it's supposedly OUR money. What we earn and what we provide to the US Government through our taxes. Hmmmm....I think I can come up with a better way to invest.
